International Milestones

The Veterans Cricket Foundation of India (VCI) has remarkably crafted a series of international milestones that showcase our unwavering dedication to veterans’ cricket on a global scale.

Our journey began in 2020 when we proudly hosted the Over-50s World Cup in Cape Town, setting a new benchmark for veterans’ cricket and laying the foundation for future international engagements.
In 2021, we took our passion to England for the prestigious Over-50s Marlborough Cup, followed by a landmark year in 2022 where we participated in the Over-60s Marlborough Cup in Australia and the Over-50s Caribbean Cup in Barbados.

The year 2023 witnessed exponential growth in our global presence. We participated in the Over-50s World Cup in Wales, the Over-60s World Cup in Cape Town, and the Silver Dragon Cup in Newport, Wales, further solidifying our role on the international veterans cricket circuit.

In 2024, we were particularly excited to host the first-ever Over-70's World Cup in the UK, held in July. This historic event underscored our commitment to providing a platform for senior cricketers to compete at the highest levels and celebrate their enduring passion for the game. Each milestone marked a step forward in our mission to foster a vibrant global community for veteran cricketers, ensuring the spirit of cricket thrives across generations.

In 2025, we continue to build on this legacy:

  • Represented India at the Over-50s World Cup in Sri Lanka, showcasing our strength and depth on the subcontinental stage.
  • Will compete in the 2025 Marlborough Cup, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in veterans’ cricket.
  • Embarked on a significant Over-40s UK Tour, giving more players above 40 the chance to represent the nation internationally and gain valuable experience ahead of future global competitions.

These milestones are not just events - they represent our vision, growth, and the global recognition of India's veterans cricket movement led by VCI.
