Hyderabad — the “City of Pearls” — is the capital of Telangana in southern India and one of the country’s great cricketing cities, home to the international Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Uppal). It blends 400 years of Nizami heritage with a modern, tech-driven metro, so teams get world-class facilities alongside iconic sights.
The city is famous for the Charminar, Golconda Fort, the Chowmahalla Palace and, of course, its legendary Hyderabadi biryani. English is widely spoken, getting around is easy via metro and cabs, and January–February is the most pleasant time of year to visit.
